Welcome to the Future of Radio Online…a web site dedicated to the future of terrestrial radio and the role its current stake holders have in the development of media.

For the last 3 years I have held a conference in Hilton Head, SC with the purpose of giving radio station owners, brokers, researchers, and other allied interests a forum to exchange ideas about where they think the radio business is going. We started with the Scenario Option Development model (click here for an overview) as a way of creating multiple futures and discussing how they might play out. The white papers are a sort of transcript of the proceedings so you may read about our conversations and reflect on our conclusions. During the most recent conference in March of 2011, we videotaped most of the presenters so you would be able to see and hear what people contributed to the deliberations.

FutureofRadioOnline.com serves as a place where participants in our process can post their latest thoughts about the drivers of the future of radio, as well as other topics relevant to important events, ideas and experiences influencing the future of radio.

As we get closer to our next annual conference I’ll be posting the agenda and other important considerations relative to the gathering – i.e. registration procedures, the venue for the conference, speaker bios, etc. I hope you’ll contact me at anytime if you have an idea, comment or interest in getting involved with our examination of the future of radio.
